More pictures!

Here is a picture of Alexis visiting with Santa for the first time. She got a DVD of Charlotte's Web for her Christmas Eve Santa gift. She slept through the entire Santa visit so we're not sure if she told Santa about the big screen plasma tv that Cort told her to ask for... maybe next year!








Here she is sleeping in her bouncy seat... she looks like a little angel when she sleeps! I wish that happened for longer periods of time during the night! She is a very noisy sleeper, and moves around a lot, so we try to roll her up like a big burrito before putting her to sleep, so she can't shake herself awake. She slept for 5 hours straight last night, so that is progress!






Here is a picture of "Heff" in her red smoking jacket that she got from her Aunt Alexis. Right now all of her clothes are huge on her, even the newborn sizes, so we are trying to fatten her up a little. At the doctors visit today she weighed 7lbs 15oz, which is up a bit from her hospital discharge weight. Everything was great and the doctor said she is very alert and very strong for an 8 day old baby. Gramma Jean came with to help me out at the doctor appointment. Thanks Gramma! We love you!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! For our Christmas, we are going to the O'Shea side of the family for Christmas Eve and the Kelleher side on Christmas day after a visit with Grandma and Grandpa O'Shea. Christie, Alexis, and I would like to thank everyone for all of the wonderful gifts that we have received. We would also like to thank everyone that has come out to visit Alexis. So far, Alexis has been visited by her Grandma Jean and Grandpa Tim, Uncle Scott, Uncle Brian and Aunt Melissa, Joan and Mrs. Wagner, Alexis, and Travis and Marissa.

It's a girl!

Alexis Anne Fornero was born on 12/21/05 at 12:33 AM at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. This was the same hospital that her Mom was born in. She tipped the scale at 8 lbs. 0 oz. and is 20.5 inches long. Alexis has blonde hair and blue eyes. We went to the hospital at 8 PM on 12/19/05 and waited 28 hours until our little bundle of joy was born. She was well worth the wait! The three of us were then taken to our recovery room and spent the next day and half there before coming home today. Alexis has spent the day getting used to her new surroundings and Max and Stormy have spent some time getting used to their new sister. She's the best present we could have asked for this Christmas and we love her so much.

The baby's room is done... just in time!

The baby's room is finally done! With not much time to spare... ten days and counting. But we are hoping it isn't even that long. This past week my Dad did some electrical work so that we could move our computer and tv into our bedroom, and yesterday he helped us move out the last of the non-baby furniture... so we are ready for our new arrival! There are a few pictures of the room below. Cort's Mom made the quilt that is hanging on the wall above the changing table. In the third picture you can see the glider/ottamon that Brian and Melissa gave to us... possibly the most comfortable chair either of us have ever sat in. I hope we are as appreciative of the chair's comfort at 3am holding a crying baby!

Meet Our New Cousin!

Meet our new cousin, John Evert Ditty! Here is a picture of the Itty Bitty Ditty on his birthday, Dec 1, 2005. He weighs in at a hefty 7 lbs 5oz, is 20 inches long, and has dark hair. John is the son of our cousins Patty and John Ditty. According to the new mom, he is creating havoc in the NICU by kicking off his oxygen tent, which is there to help him out with his breathing, but he should be tentless in a few days and ready to go home with Mom and Dad. Congratulations Dittys!
