Cousins!!!

This weekend Cort is on the Men's Trip, so some of the girls in the family came over to visit. And we let Johnny come for Girl's Night! Here is a picture of Alexis waiting for everyone to come over... she asked me probably 15 times when Johnny and Kylie would get to our house!

Enjoying some cupcakes and brownies...

Johnny and Alexis playing with the doll house (I posted this one for Johnny's Dad because I know how much he will love it...)

Dancing!

Everyone pointing at the kitty...

The kids had a blast jumping on the king size bed!

And rolling on it!

Visiting Meg and Nolan

Yesterday, Alexis and I went to go visit Meg and Nolan. We took a trip to the park and the kids had a ton of fun!

As of right now, Alexis still outweighs Nolan.. but only by two pounds! She had so much fun playing with him! Alexis even helped feed some puffs to Nolan.

Fishing Trip

Yesterday Alexis got to go fishing for the first time! We went to Tampier Lake with Grandma, Uncle Scott, Aunt Agnes, Uncle Kevin, Rose, Kevin and Ellen. Alexis loved it, and caught 6 fish! Most of them were just barely below the "keeper" size of 18 inches. As you can see below... that fish is so big that Alexis could barely hold it up!

Alexis was scoping out the fishing grounds while Rose and Kevin kept an eye on our bucket of giant fish.

Baby Ellen relaxed in the shade and let everyone else handle the fishing .

Alexis took a break from fishing to paint Grandma's leg...

Back at it again...

Another first... flying a kite! Alexis flew her Elmo kite from Aunt Kathey.

The first batch of fish... The picture is deceiving... the bucket is actually the size of a swimming pool and those fish are the size of dolphins.

Funny story to share... my cousin Kevin was there, and he is 6 years old. I was talking to him when we were about to leave, and I told him that my Mom wanted to go before the mosquitoes came out. He looked shocked and said "Your Mom is here??!!?" So I told him that Aunt Jean is my Mom... and he still looked shocked... so then I said that Scott is my brother... to which he replied "You've gotta be kidding me!!" He had a similar conversation with Scott earlier in the day. I guess adults just take for granted that kids understand all of the family relationships!

Summertime

Warm weather has finally arrived. The cats love it because they can sit by the screen door and watch the birds outside.

Alexis loves it because she can finally play in the sprinkler from Aunt Dee! She has been looking at it longingly all winter.

Alexis is been doing a lot of baking in her new oven from her friend Jaden...

Do you like my new hairdo?
