Crawling!

Dave started crawling tonight! His all time distance record is nine "steps". He will only crawl if he realllllly wants to get at something, but in another week or so he will probably be creating pandemonium in our house. Let the fun begin!

Alexis is working on making Dave tough... the picture below was taken right after she tackled him. He thinks it is all in good fun! Dave pretty much thinks everything is fun. He is so bright eyed and smiley... he will distract you with his adorable smile right before he rips your earring right off of your ear or tries to steal your glasses. That boy is all boy. Nothing is going to be safe once he gets moving. We barely did any baby proofing for Alexis... I can already see Dave scoping out all the things that he is going to eat, throw, or break as soon as he can figure out how to get his legs to move in sync with his arms.

Alexis and Dave are so cute together... she is a great big sister and also a constant source of entertainment for her little brother. We are fortunate to have the perfect little pair!

Happy kids posing for the camera! Dave finally started to do some babbling this weekend (Bababa and Wawawa) so that has been fun for all of us. He is quite the character... never stops moving and is always on the lookout for something interesting to look at/grab. Perhaps we should start the baby proofing now?

Dave has been a big kicker since before he was even born. Here is a video of him kicking the floor... it is amazing that he doesn't have bruises all over his chubby little feet!

Art

Alexis has become a really good artist these days. Here is a picture she made on her new wipe board. The black cat is Max, and the one underneath is Stormy. The top right is Dave's toy bag, and the top left is Dave's block sorter toy. On the bottom left is Dave (with a pillow behind him in case he falls) and a pile of toys in front of him. Alexis pays very close attention to everything going on around here!

On Thursday, Alexis had a preschool Halloween party and parade. I went with her to enjoy the festivities. Here is a picture of Alexis standing by her Pocket Person.

A few random pictures of Dave on Halloween. He likes to grab onto Max anytime he gets close enough, which is ALL the time. Here he is clinging to his ear. Max is just happy for any kind of attention and will sit there calmly until he is free.

Here are Dave's carrots that were grabbed and dumped all over the tray... Dave is quite the menace these days. Baby proofing this time around will be a little different than baby proofing for Alexis!
