Downtown

Alexis and I had a really fun day today going downtown with Meg and Nolan! We took the train downtown, met Grandpa and Aunt Mo for lunch, and then all took the train home together. It was a great day, and we had perfect weather.

Alexis like playing in the fountain at Daley Plaza... her and Nolan made wishes and tossed in some pennies, and Nolan tossed in his shoe for good measure.

Lunch with Grandpa and Aunt Mo!

Alexis thought that the fountain at Millenium Park was the greatest thing ever!! She got soaking wet and was having fun laying down in the water. Poor Nolan was so tired from the rest of the day that he slept through the fountain fun. We will have to go back again because he would have loved it, and was all ready with his swim suit on and everything!

Visiting School

On Thursday, we went to visit the school where our cousin Patty teaches. Alexis is going to start preschool this fall, and we thought it would be fun for her to check out a school. She really enjoyed herself! I sort of want to go back to elementary school, too!

The music room was a big it for Alexis and Johnny... I wonder where the music teacher keeps her giant stock of Excedrin?

Gramma Debi

This week Gramma Debi came to visit! We had a ton of fun and went lots of great places. Dave slept by Gramma Debi so Cort and I got to have several full nights of sleep, which was GREAT! Thank you Gramma!

On Wednesday, we went to the Oak Lawn Children's museum.

We decided to buy a tile for the wall in the new Oak Lawn Children's Museum, which will be opening in September. So we got to go over to the new facility and were given our own special tour of the place. It is going to be much bigger and have lots of great exhibits. Alexis had a really good time running around the big empty rooms! She also got to put her handprints on a giant rocking chair that will be somewhere around the area soon (sort of like the Cows on Parade, with chairs instead). So look for the little green handprint if you see a huge rocking chair out around Oak Lawn.
