Zooooooooo

Last Saturday, the Ditty family took us to the zoo. We had such a great time! Alexis was so excited to go on an outing with Johnny and Maggie. And as it turns out, Dave completely idolizes Johnny!
Birds of a feather, you might say...

Here are some pictures from our day...

Dave was not too keen on going anywhere near the big kangaroo.

Looking for giraffes...

Howling like wolves...

As big as a polar bear.... leg.

Dave looking for some trouble...

Johnny being eaten, legs first...

Having a bite of Alexis, too...

Looking for the sea turtle...

All four kids together for a halfway decent shot...

Couple of monkeys looking for monkeys...

Dads getting tired of the zoo...

Spring Fling

Today Alexis had her Spring Fling for preschool. The festivities took place at Palos Country Club, and it was the cutest show ever! Each child had to choose their favorite outfit, and they modeled it during a fashion show. Afterward, the kids sang songs for the crowd.

Alexis wore the fairy costume that Gramma Debi made for her!

Here she is coming down the runway!

Of course her 'prop' was her favorite penguin, Patsy!

The whole group singing... there was quite a variety of outfits! Costumes, swimsuits, pajamas, dresses and suits... very cute!

Cort and I took the day off and we all had a great day together!

Alexis was excited to have flowers after the show!

Posing with Granny and Grandma after the show...

Visiting the 'creepster' bunny... not too close...

Afterward, Alexis had her very first eye doctor appointment, to get ready for kindergarten. Her eyes are perfect (so far... but considering my vision, she is probably doomed), but she still wanted to try on some glasses... cute!

Chopped Salad?

Hmmmm... for a kid who barely eats and even turns his nose up at mac n cheese, this little guy sure is enjoying my Portillo's chopped salad...
