Little Red Schoolhouse

We finally had a chance to check out the newly redone Little Red Schoolhouse.

Dave and Alexis are the VERY excited new owners of a swing set! Thank you Gramma Debi and Grampa Joe for the great gift!! And thank you to Grandpa Tim and Uncle Scott for putting it together!

Snakes and Gators

Yesterday I had to work at the Family Fun Days event at my work. I got to be the snake handler for a few hours, which was a lot more fun than your average day at the office! Cort brought the kids to come and partake in the activities, and the Ditty family came as well. Here is Alexis holding a 7 foot Albino Burmese Python, named Little Blondie.

Two Wheels!

Alexis learned to ride a two wheeler today! Cort ran with her two times around the parking lot and that was all the help that she needed! She is getting to be such a big girl... kindergarten and a two wheeler all in the same week! Now we just need to practice the starting and stopping...

First Day of Kindergarten!

Today Alexis went to her first day of Kindergarten at her new school! We can't believe that she is old enough for this. She is such a big girl and we are so proud of her for doing so well this morning!

Dance Recital

Tonight was Alexis' first dance recital. She did such a great job! She did both tap and ballet, and she remembered all of her steps. The recital was so cute, and at times, hilarious... we had a great time!

Parade

Yesterday we went to the Orland Day's parade. Both kids loved it, although Alexis says she loves it even more when she is IN a parade. Last month she was in a parade with me and my coworkers, and that was just about the greatest day of her life! Dave was in complete awe of all of the firetrucks. He definitely loves his trucks.

Summertime

Summer has most definitely arrived. We have been getting in a lot of pool time. Dave loves the water, but spends all of his time above it... he never sits down in there!

We have found that the pool and the sandbox side by side are not the greatest combination... although the short people seem to love it.

Preschool Graduation

Alexis is officially a preschool graduate! Gramma Debi came to visit and we all went to Alexis' preschool graduation show. She is growing up so much, and we are so proud of her!


Alexis was a 'hot tomato' in her preschool show. She had to fan herself with her arms and say "I'm a hot tomato!" into the microphone, and then she sang a song with the other kids.
